Foreclosures in Town?

Posted by CityBlogFL on May 28th, 2007

Can anyone speak to the issue of foreclosures in Port Charlotte, Florida? Foreclosures are up around the country due to the sub-prime lending practices. Is there any foreclosure impact on real estate in Port Charlotte?

Yes, there has been an impact as there has been nationally.
This is the best time to buy. This is a fact. You’ll get the best buys right now due to the price adjustments. Your best bet is to use an agent though. Most foreclosures are listed with Real Estate Companies and any one of them should know how to find you a great buy.
This will begin to change in the last half of the year and interest rates will creep up due to inflation. That’s a good reason to be a buyer. As for the sellers, it’s not a great time to sell unless you’ve wned you home or property for at least 5 years or more.
If you would like any real estate help you can call me. I’m a Licensed Realtor here in Charlotte County. 941-235-3528
    Hope this helps!
